Operations Manager/General Superintendent
We are expanding our excellent staff to add operations manager. This is a permanent full time position to manage multiple construction projects, with the opportunity for advancement. Projects range in size up to multi-million/multi-year contracts. Experience in Geotechnical construction is a plus, but we will train the right individual.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience:
Looking for experienced manger for construction projects. No formal education required, but a degree in civil engineering, construction management, or geology would be a plus.
Construction Management:
Individual must have experience at management of multiple constructions projects.
Personnel Management:
Recruiting, selection, training and direct supervision of trained superintendents and foreman is a key to success of construction projects. It is also essential to maintain a relationship with the owners and general contractors.
Customer Relations:
Our projects include general contracts and subcontracts, and require interacting with general contractors, government representatives or owner's representatives. We have been successful because of our quality work and excellent the relationships we have formed with our customers.
Equipment:
Providing the crews with the proper tools to perform the job is essential. Many projects require the use of specialized equipment. The operations manager will be responsible for procuring or selecting the right equipment and direction of a maintenance facility.
Travel:
Construction projects are primarily located in the Midwest, but can be located throughout the country. Travel is required. No projects outside the US are currently being considered.
